Founder
Baseball was part of Matthew Salom's life long before he got into the business side of it.
He played the game himself, so he knows what the commitment, the pressure, and the sacrifice actually feel like when you're chasing baseball at a high level. When he sits down with an athlete, he's not talking to a client. He's talking to a kid chasing the same things he once chased.
After his playing days, Matthew went into business and entrepreneurship, where he spent years negotiating, building relationships, and putting deals together. Major Sports Group is where those two worlds meet.
Matthew's view is that an agent should be more than the person who negotiates a contract and takes a percentage. If the word is representation, then you should actually represent the person. That starts with real relationships with athletes and their families, understanding what each player wants out of his career, and building a path to get there. NIL deals, personal branding, college decisions, the transfer portal, pro ball, life after the game. All of it is the job.
His business background also shapes how he sees an athlete's career. Today's players aren't just players. They're brands, they're businesses, and they're young men making decisions that will follow them for the rest of their lives. Matthew's goal is to help them get the most out of their opportunities without giving up their future to do it.
